Wan Zaleha holds a Masters in Business Administration from Universiti Teknologi Mara Malaysia (UiTM) and a Bachelor  of Law (LLB Hons) from University of Huddersfield, United Kingdom. She was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2001 and had pursued legal practicce specializing in convenyancing for three years before joining Amanah Raya Berhad in 2004.

Wan Zaleha had served as a Compliance Officer and Business Development Executive at the Corporate Trust Department of Amanah Raya Berhad.

Subsequently, she joined the Legal Department of Amanah Raya Trustees Berhad where she held the position as Head of Legal Department from 2010 until 2013.

Wan Zaleha has extensive experience in attending to legal matters and advisory services on a board range of corporate trust matters which include Conventional and Islamic debt structures; Agency services for structured finance transactions, Unit Trust Funds, REITs and Custody Services.
